Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest celebration of innovators, job creators and startups. Every November, during one week, GEW organises global activities for startups and entrepreneurs. During the week over 35 000 events that present opportunities to join networking events, meet mentors and investors and participate in boot camps happen in over 140 different countries. Now in its 6th year, GEW officially kicks off on November 18th and counts Kauffman Foundation, Dell, Startup Weekend and Endeavor in its network of supporters.
In the spirit of GEW, Everlytic has committed to sponsoring the Wisboo Startup Camp, the first online event connecting entrepreneurs in Latin America, from 11–22 November 2013. The camp dedicates over 60 online hours to live training, webcasts, webinars, interactive workshops, meet-ups and virtual video tours for emerging businesses.
Wisboo will award at least 20 startups with prizes and Everlytic is proud to be sponsoring their digital communication platform as part of the prize package. Each startup will be awarded credits to get their communications off the ground.
As the South African host for Global Entrepreneurship Week, Endeavor’s Getting Social networking session forms part of their activities for the event. Endeavor is a non-profit organisation that identifies and assists high-growth entrepreneurs in emerging markets around the world. They’re part talent scouts, business accelerators and a real-time business school.
Everlytic was founded by Sam Hutchinson and Josh Adler, both are Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Everlytic’s Managing Director, Walter Penfold will be speaking to businesses and mentors at the Endeavor South Africa Global Entrepreneurship week event.
‘’True entrepreneurship involves bright ideas that impact the way we live. It creates jobs and transforms economies by generating revenue. I’m looking forward to speaking at the GEW event, it’s an opportunity to look at ways of improving their businesses,’’ says Penfold about the GEW event taking place on the 21st November.
Penfold will be joined by Jonathan Houston from Deloitte to present Getting Social, where companies will be privy to case studies illustrating the importance of having an online presence and maximising their digital marketing strategy.
